Inspiration College for Teacher Education is a specialised institution running B Ed classes. It has an intake of 100 candidates in one batch.
B Ed course is a full time one-year programme devoted to the training of teachers for secondary schools. Admission to this course is done on the basis of an Entrance Examination conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of Kumaun University, Nainital, and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE). B Ed is a professional training programme consisting of four types of theoretical and professional training activities:

B Ed is a full time professional course involving a variety of activities. Trainees are expected to put in very hard work and they often remain busy throughout the session. Therefore, B Ed cannot be conducted as a part time course.
The trainees are required to go to and stay at any place, university/institute or city of educational importance generally outside Uttarakhand for about 10 days. This study tour is an essential part of B Ed and counts for the final B Ed result.
